The FreeSMS application was designed to be a free SMS client program that will allow you to send SMS messages to any capable mobile number in the World, as long as they support the standard SMS protocol.

The software has not been tested for many countries, but there is no reason why it shouldn't work. Infact, if you use it to send to any countries other than UK and Holland.

The software itself simply acts as a 'go-between' for the user and a Free SMS gateway. Because this SMS gateway is a free service, and is not owned, or has anything to do with us we cannot guarantee the reliability of the service. The whole chain will work, assuming all links in that chain are functioning.

If you are sending to a UK mobile number, you do not need the country code, just use the mobile number as it exists. If, however you are to send to phone other than the UK, you must use the country's' international dialling code as well (taking out the first ZERO). +3171234567 (for example for Holland).

Most messages will reach their destination within seconds; it depends on the SMS traffic from the free provider. Note that it can sometimes take a few hours
